Blackwood's Bar & Grill - Nira Caledonia (New Town)

• The service was fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious
• Bread was served with three different butters
• Lime and plain with salt as well as a portion of balsamic &
• Amuse bouche was braised ox cheek on a mini yorkshire
• My starter of mussels with whisky cream sauce was so tasty I devoured the lot even though I'd promised to share with the table
• Our steaks were cooked to perfection
• There really is something about meat cooked on a Josper grill
• Chocolate fondant to finish was well worth the 15 minute wait
• Even though we were there on a voucher
• The amuse bouche was chicken pate which was divine
• I had the Seabass and was not disappointed in the least and my partner had the sirloin which was cooked to perfection and the peppercorn sauce was to die
• Blackwood's was my choice for dinner both nights of my stay in the Nira recently
• I was delighted with both meals
• While portions all round were healthy enough
• Along with good wine and whisky from a selection their own single malt was a surprise it was a good choice for quiet dining
