The Golf Tavern (Bruntsfield)

• While we did not eat anything the table next to us did and they were raving about the food
• We ended up staying for several drinks as we had such a lovely server and the food/drinks were phenomenal
• I am not sure if this is common practice in Scotland but as a Canadian we were blown away
• At the end of the day our bill was around £
• My husband and I ate here wanting just the normal pub grub abc were given lukewarm
• Reasonable drinks (especially with the student discount) and good food
• They have a pub quiz every Wednesday with cash prizes
• I once went a little early on a week night and they had a 10 quid two course meal thing which was amazing value and flavour
• I booked a table to watch the rugby and was told that wasn't an issue if we were going to be there for a long time
• I did it over the phone and was told it was a £
• Whilst there the service was great and the bar staff were very friendly
• When booking the table she said we would have a great view of the game but in fact half our table was turned around on a bench and the rest had to look between people's heads
• The manager was rude and I nor my friends would ever go there again
• Our friends suggested we meet here and this was my first visit
• ) The bill was more than we were expected £
• 2 puddings and some beer and the portions were quite small for the price
• Waitress service for food and drink at our little booth was a great touch and we had excellent service
• The only thing I would say is that we wanted to chat and the place was very busy (Sunday night) with students which made it quite noisy
