Las Iguanas (New Town)

• I booked the table online which was very user friendly
• I ordered a chimichanga which was amazing and full of flavour
• Both could have done with a bit more seasoning and the calamari was slightly tough
• The wraps encasing our chosen meats were had at the ends and felt like they had maybe been sitting for a while
• As well as a photo both with hats and maracas
• Most of the 38 restaurants are in England
• Means that they are not owned by another chain
• Their mission is to take Latin food to the world
• The walls are warm with rough wood and large clusters of lampshades provide light and visual interest
• The layout is relaxed and can accommodate couples
• ) The tacos were were tasty
• The sauce on the table was my favourite &ndash
• The waiter said the Extraordinary Xinxim was his favourite
• Creamy curry with chicken and crayfish
• It too came with a coconut topping
• It had a different character from the xinxim but was also very good
• Both dishes are great autumn warmers and both were filling
• The ganache dip was chocolatey and creamy
• The churros themselves were crunchier than we&rsquo
• A traditional cake made with three types of milk
• The clientele at Las Iguanas on the Wednesday night we were there was mixed
• The cocktail list is fun and they have South American and other lagers for beer drinkers
• All my other guests meals were good too and great portions
• Service and price were acceptable
• I personally think I ordered the best dish from the menu but I'd be willing to try another
• The service was friendly and food came out pretty quickly
• I had nachos to start which I thought was going to be a small portion but it was huge so I would recommend getting this as a main meal or to share with someone as a starter
• I wasn't a fan of the refried beans that came with it though and they surrounded the entire plate
• I got a sweetcorn starter thing which was a tad underwhelming but everyone elses looked good
• For my main i had the burrito and it was really huge and yummy
• LOVE Las Iguanas (New Town) the ambience is always lovely
• Cranberry sauce and gravy was something we wanted to avoid this Christmas and thus chose to go for the tastes and warmth of Latin America
• Las Iguanas was the choice
• Tried Italian food on my visit to Edinburgh with the family
• Being a vegetarian there r very less options available but this was a like a paradise for us
• The hospitality also of the servers is also fantastic
• Their service was really pleasant
• Food and drinks were very tasty
