Miro's Cantina (New Town)

• Cantina style setting is full of nice detailing
• Packed as it was with flavour rich goodness
• I was really pleased with Cantina Miro
• Presentation and most importantly the taste was perfect and would definitely try it again
• The 'cosy' surroundings of the restaurant make it easy to knock elbows with the next table amid the feeding frenzy
• I only wish there was more than 4 tortillas worth
• The tortillas were a bit on the wee side as well
• I kept on over encumbering them with delicious filling
• Miro's cantina is a delightful little Mexican place on rose street
• I had the paella which was an absolute delight
• The only downside was that service was fairly slow
• It would have been rude not to whet the appetite with a few glasses of frozen margarita (the lime and strawberry flavours went down well with our group)
• ) chilli sauce with the chorizo was a real treat
• The sizzling meat platter paired by a smorgasbord of accompaniments is a party for the eyes
• The only way to recover from a carnival of food like that was to wash it all down with a bit more margarita
• This little place on Rose Street is always busy
• They had outdoor seating which allowed more people to eat rather than having to sit indoors out of the rain which is rather a lot on Edinburgh
• I had a chicken enchilada which was very very good and I would highly recommend this for anyone who doesn't fancy anything too spicey either
• Miro's Cantina (New Town) was packed for a Monday night and it wasn&rsquo
• We knew we were going to make a start on the jugs of frozen margaritas
• They were just right to go with the food and we ordered a second jug later in the evening
• We went for a trio of dips with corn chips and some olives
• Three of us went for exactly the same dish from the specials menu which was steak strip tacos
• The fourth (a vegan) went for the vegetable and bean fajitas and it was no problem to remove the cheese and sour cream from the order and they offered more salsa in place
• The corn chips were nice and warm
• The guacamole was nice but was a bit bland and maybe needed a little more seasoning
• This could have been because it was sitting next to the most amazing dip I think I have ever had
• The warmth was a surprise but the taste was so moreish I could have eaten them all night
• Onions and peppers with a sweet chilli jam
• The steak pieces were a little small but it did make the dish much easier to eat
• The sides of rice and salad were ok but nothing special
• The salad was fresh but the rice was a bit lacking
• It arrived on a sizzle plate and the dips and warm flour tortillas were provided on a side plate
• T hurried away from our table and were left to finish our cocktails
• We all had a great time with lovely food
• We shared the trio of dips and the nachos to start which were delicious but quite similar
• I thought it would be small tortilla tacos but it was more of a burrito
• Miro's now has a burrito stall outside on Rose Street which is great for grabbing a quick
• The prices are very reasonable
• They chef that is in charge here
• Very poor customer service the staff is nor very helpfull
• Guacomole and other dips along with enchilladas filled with lots of vegetables
• Both the dishes were great and the portions were huge
• Miro's Cantina (New Town) is great to visit
