The Pantry (Stockbridge)

• The Pantry is one of the latest additions to the Stockbridge culinary scene
• What a time it is for the area
• Recently voted the 3rd coolest place to live in the UK the area is alive with some of the trendiest and most relaxed eateries in the city
• Fresh gazpacho with fresh crab and a light smokey salmon all come together to create a great summer dish
• Again for what is a very modest place this was an accomplished dish and is the kind of food you want to demolish
• I had the cheese and it was very tasty as cheese goes but check this out
• These guys are really working hard and it's paying off
• 30 in Stockbridge is always a win in my book
• It's BYOB and topping it off with a bottle from Australia's coolest wine makers Some Young Punks made for a great night
• I wouldn't bother with lunch there again too many better choices in the neighborhood
• The only downside was it was a little bit noisey but this would be our only complaint
• Only guide was a specials board with 3 things on it
• The hot chocolate was basically just warmed milk and the poached in in the sandwich was very over done
• It's a shame as the menu is great and the food was tasty but it's a central location which will attract a lot of people interested in a quick bite away from the office but the service is just too slow
• They said they didn't have salmon anymore (it was on the menu) and if they would it would be too expensive
• A pity as I like their menu and are walking distance from where I live
• I think the reviews on here are a little harsh
• Staff were pleasant throughout our visit and (unlike other posts) we were given a menu immediately on arrival
• My only complaint was that one if the eggs could have done with being a teeny bit more done
• Especially on impulse) but it is safe to say I did not enjoy either experience
• The food and coffee are nice enough
• On both occasions myself and my partner were ignored for upwards of half an hour before even being giving a menu
• Resulting in more waiting time (we were there for well over an hour before something even passed our lips) and no apologies from the staff whatsoever
• A average) food at The Pantry combined with the below average service I received means that I would be reluctant to return anytime soon
• In a city as filled with with amazing places to eat as Edinburgh
• The Pantry is a mere stones throw away from Princes Street so is a great choice for someone spending the day in the centre
• Was a slice of chunky toast topped with roasted vine tomatoes and avocados
• The staff were super friendly and accommodated us fairly easily even though we were a table of 6
• The Sunshine on Stockbridge was really good but the Epic Waffles lacked taste
• The Scots definitely have too unique cravings that is not quite suitable for me
• So do be prepared to wait for a table (the surrounding areas is beautiful for a wander whilst you wait

• If you are looking for a tasty brunch with great service then this is definitely the place to go
