Al Hamra (Mayfair)

• I enjoyed one of the best meals I&rsquo
• Went there on my birthday night as i wanted to treat myself with good lebanese food
• A bit expensive but a must try if you are searching for authentic lebanese dishes
• You can't expect anything fancy but if you are looking for authentic food then Al Hamra (Mayfair) is surely for you
• Quality is good and the quantity is also solid
• Al Hamra (Mayfair) is pretty packed up because of the fact that it is very old
• The Lebanese fair is one to admire
• The dishes we ordered were fairly standard and basic
• The prices of all the dishes were fairly high
• 30 pm and my partner and I were looking for a good place to eat
• Al Hamra (Mayfair) was open and we were seated right away
• The waiter was incredibly attentive and honest
• I must say that the food was absolutely divine
• Everything we ordered was full of bags of flavor and left us wanting for more
• The interior is cozy with lots of plants that make it look very pretty
• The atmosphere is classy at this restaurant
• The prices are not over the top and the portions are adequate
• I ordered the mix grill which came with minced lamb
• The attention to detail is also a nice touch the servers regularly came around with fresh hot pita bread
• The only tiny criticism that I would make is that the wait staff could be considered to be a little pushy and unfriendly
• I had visited Al Hamra (Mayfair) because I was highly influenced by the many positive reviews I had read about it
• The service here was amicable and friendly
• The sea bass was tasty enough to deserve a special recommendation
• Al Hamra (Mayfair) is not the cheapest option you have
• Being a regular visitor I felt it was about time i reviewed Al Hamra (Mayfair)
• The location of Al Hamra (Mayfair) is perfect near a super market because of which they always seem busy

• Al Hamra (Mayfair) was recommended by a friend of mine and she said that their food is very good
• The atmosphere was lovely here
• The restaurant is a bit expensive though
• The attentive staff is very cordial as well and serves you quickly with your fresh salads and authetic tasting hummus
• The staff is very friendly and the service is always good
• The prices are also very reasonable
• The entire experience is ruined by the terrible service
• Was uncomfortable since it was hot outside
• I went here with the expectation of getting some great Lebanese food

• The food was delicious and had wonderful flavours to it and was cooked to perfection

• We ordered lentil soup which was expected to be chunky but was sadly broth
• I opted for Shish Taouk with rice and the chicken was stuffed inside a warm lavish bread
• We both loved our food which was served in pretty good quantities and we had a hard time finishing it off
• I am quite disappointed with the behaviour of the staff here
• They are quite rude and disrespectful which is not done as we are availing the service for which we are readily paying
• The food here is quite awesome but I would not come back here again because the service is quite bad

• I recently visited Al Hamra (Mayfair) when a friend suggested it and was disappointed with the whole experience
• On request we were seated outside and thus loved the view and the weather
• The service was a bit slow and felt that the staff was disorganized
• The food was average and the drinks were also just fine
• The manager was quite arrogant and indifferent and I would recommend the management to improve their staff behaviour
• Consistently one of the best Lebanese food anywhere in the world
• 'The finest lebanese' food indeed with the most disrespectful staff including Manager who in the midst of our meal asked us to SHIFT TO ANOTHER TABLE so he could join our table and seat more customers
• The washrooms were FILTHY and upon requesting them to be cleaned our request was ignored
• Every waiter kept nudging/ pushing me when I was standing at my table speaking to my friends when there was ample space behind me to walk
• Was also slapped on the bill which we were forced to pay
• The only nice thing about Al Hamra (Mayfair) is the ambience
• Most of the dishes were a disaster
• I ended up eating a pitta stuffed with spring onion and radish from the salad platter
• The quail dish was a traversity
• Food and atmosphere is what keeps us coming back every time we come to London
• Try the chickpeas with olive oil and garlic and the chicken in a thin wrap
• Al Hamra (Mayfair) is extremely crammed
• There are more than necessary large men walking around in suits who look like they are dictators body guard/henchmen and do not smile or are in a hospitable mood with quite Aggressive body language
• Some items are below average and some are at par
• Did not appear apologetic and seemed to argue with the patron on where and how to get the patrons jacket clean
• Went here with my family that is vegetarian and there were several options for us
• A bit pricey but the food and service were defo worth the extra few quid
