The Fable (City of London)

• Our parents were impressed with the literary references
• The offer comes with options of white (cabernet sauvignon) or red (grenache) &ndash
• The pork belly and the chicken were cooked well
• Though the chicken was slightly overseasoned
• My beef roast was not medium as advised on ordering
• The Yorkshire puddings were light and crispy
• All of our potatoes were oversalted and effected the enjoyment of the meal
• It's a decent place for drinks and snacks with a group of friends
• Little detail in the decor is wonderful and they at least have Ale on the menu and a very interesting cocktail menu
• Overpriced food and drinks with sub par flavour and service make this an 'avoid'
• Been there 3 times and the restaurant menu is quite nice
• Went to The Fable for some drinks with friends and I loved it as soon as I walked in with its fairytale and fable theme
• We had an evening with the mixologist learning how to make our own cocktails with a great selection to choose from
• I went for the raspberry mojito and am so glad I did as it is possibly one of the most deliciously sweet and fruity cocktails I've ever tried way better than the original mojito
• I didn't eat here but it's somewhere I definitely want to return to as the venue was lovely and drinks were heavenly
• Two ladies decided they were overdue a proper catch up over nibbles and cocktails
• The Fable in Farringdon is big and brashy
• I was a tad sceptical because I had never been there before but all my doubts were erased when I arrived
• I brought a plus one with me to enjoy an evening filled with cocktails and nibbles from their new menu

• Anything with gin is a score for me
• I kept forgetting what went into my drink so she kept a voice recorder and listed everything from shaker to the lavender garnish which I was really impressed by
• We were served with dishes from their starter between each session and first up was the wild mushroom bruschette which is part of their latest all day menu
• I'm not much of a scotch egg fan if I'm honest but the chorizo was a nice flavoursome addition and dunking chips in the gooey yolk was fab
• The majority of them are on my 'must go to' list

• The Fable is a large modern restaurant with a fairytale theme
• The contemporary feel of the restaurant combined with the touches of fairytale sweetness creates a really lovely place to eat and the floor to ceiling windows fill the rooms with light
