The Fish House of Notting Hill (Notting Hill)

• By far some of the best fish and chips I've ever had the fish is beautiful and the batter delicious not over done in anyway
• I had the cod bites which were a dream so fluffy and the chunky chips were Devine soft on the inside crispy on the outside
• Thanks to the Cyprus/ Turkish guy working there that was really nice and enthusiastic
• This is hands down one of the best fish places in London
• It's spread over two floors with a small mezzanine level in between
• The upper two floors are small and have proper sit down tables
• They have proper table service with the food being served on plates
• It's slightly more expensive up here but all the fish one orders automatically comes with a portion of chips unlike in the take away downstairs
• The ground floor is a take away with a few stools to sit down
• The good there is self service and comes in fast food style boxes
• Everything you order is actually made to order
• The other point is the fish always tastes fresh
• Never the less it is one of the best fish and chips of London
• I went for the regular cod platter which comes with chips and tartar sauce
• The fish batter was crisped to perfection with succulent
• The chips tasted like proper chip shop fare but with the added freshness of being fried in clean oil
• Tartar sauce was decent but the consistency was more like mousse rather than sauce
• We visited on a Tuesday evening and it was almost deserted in the eat in section upstairs
• Was here late during their street festival and the empty bottles lining the streets were the only problem getting through the entrance
• The attention to detail as up to one of the best fish and chips experiences I've ever had
• A simple restaurant with good food and staff
• It immediately struck me that this is the kind of fish and chips that my English teacher (who is a proud Brit) would deem worthy of eating
