Istanbul Cafe Bistro (Fitzrovia)

• Had the chicken and mushroom with rice which is really nice and tasty
• This restaurant happened to by right next door to the hotel I was staying at
• At first the existing review didn't seem promising however how could one go wrong with Grilled meats
• The waiter was warm and showed me to my table and then brought me some olives and traditional crusty traditional bread
• I ordered a pot of herbal tea while waiting for my main dish which was the chocked kebab with rice and salad
• This little cafe is opposite my work and I had bever considered it
• The food (although not expected to be haute cuisine) was delicious and flavourful
• I loved the fresh mint tea and the staff were so friendly
• I visited this Turkish joint for having dinner because it was near to my hotel I was putting up
• We had ordered for kalamari fry with tartar dip and a combo of chicken and mutton kababs served with rice and fresh green salad
• They serve a portion of complimentary oven baked breads with some dip which is yummy and helps you hold your hunger for a while till your food arrives
• The food turned out to be amazingly good with decent portions for both of us and reasonably priced as well
• They serve a self made spicy tomato sauce which goes too well with the kababs
• Though the hookah wasn't smooth like it is supposed to be but
• The food this time even was totally worth and I would surely visit the place again on my next visit to London
• Definitely one of the best places I've eaten at in London
• Your stomach is giving you warning signs
• You are hungry and all outlets nearby are either closed or are already beyond their last order timing
• The ambiance is simple with simple and attractive dé
• Me the fussy eater who had never had eaten Turkish food was willing to go ahead and take the plunge only because the tummy was on break point
• Shakily I asked the team member if they were serving food &ndash
• An elderly gentleman of Turkish origin was more than happy to help Try our Turkish tea and what would you prefer vegetarian or non vegetarian
• Out comes the menu with a basketful of vegetarian dishes
• Yes Turkish Tea is not your regular tea &ndash
• Paid and was ready to leave with a lighter heart and some lovely information
• I liked the food and realised that it is quiet close to our Indian food
• Is like a family business and everyone is related to each other) and a jolly Middle aged Turkish man who was happy to pose on camera
• Is served with sweet chilli sauce and chips (the chips are not wafer thin they are more like potato wedges) with Turkish Tea (yes I realised its health benefits)
• Light eaters like me there was no way I could finish the meal
