Maxwell's (Covent Garden)

• Or a great place to grab a hearty burger with a group of friends
• Mains I had the quintessential burger from Maxwell which was good but not the best in London as some might suggest but thats just an opinion
• Its a great place to hang out with friends or grabbing a bite while shopping in this area
• We ordered our drinks and we decided to have only starters (which would be more expensive than the main courses) because we had not a good experience before with their dried ribs and steaks
• Maxwell's is really attracted if you are hungry and just got off from Covent Garden tube station
• The place itself is pretty nice
• I went on a Monday and they were doing everything half price
• You could stop by if you are in the neighbourhood
• My friend was recommended it and heard tales that they had the best ribs in all of London
• The atmosphere was lively and fun with good music playing in the background
• All this aside my friend was distraught with his ribs
• They were huge and could have been amazing yet they were apparently very overcooked and dry
• Once my friend alerted the wait staff to the downfalls of the ribs he received the meal complimentary which was nice as he didn&rsquo
• The service was good and friendly
• I wasn't overly impressed with the food or presentation
• It was definitely the best dish out of what the rest of my party ordered
• I don't feel like it is overpriced
• I think if I were in the area I might stop by again because of its convenience due to its proximity to the station
• The atmosphere was good the decor it fun to look at
• The only thing i wasn't particularly happy with was the service but the staff were polite there just wasn't enough of them
• Nice American style restaurant with good ambiance and environment
• Saturdays and Sundays as you can imagine are quite busy so be prepared to wait a bit

• 15.95 for two courses with the BBQ ribs and BBQ chicken combo including chips and apple slaw a real slam dunk of a main course
• Desert the apple crumble was warm and comforting but the real highlight of the desert dish was the cinnamon ice cream
• Strong punchy flavour but worked to perfection with the crumble
• Recommendation they have different flavours available everyday so choose one from them but I tried the Oreo Freakshake and salted caramel with donut and they were amazing
• Girls night out we aren't very familiar with Covent Garden so what we thought would be a mad one ended up just being a nice catch up
• Dirty Martini happy hour was our first stop
• Beautiful cocktails but was too small in there
• Our waiter who was fully aware from our reactions of what we'd just seen came over and gave a good attempt at explaining why they had RATS
• You know how it is in London they say you're never more than 6ft from a rat"
• A swift exit was made after seeing that
• Quite possibly the best drink I have ever had
• In a restaurant which was full only one fourth
• Surprisingly the service was quite good
• The burger was juicy and full of flavour and the crust of the pie was wonderfully baked
• It would have been brilliant with a little flavour
• The BBQ ribs were the star of the night
• The place itself is quite dark and noisey but the food is fantastic
• The cocktails were very tasty but I'd only say reasonably priced when it's happy hour
• Maxwell's (Covent Garden) is estentially a bar on top and a grill /BBQ place on the ground floor
• It's not a bad option if you are tired from all the shopping in the neighborhood
• I started with corn on the cob which was just average
• The highlight of my dinner was Sticky BBQ chicken and Thick chocolate shake
• The chicken was a whole slab grilled and topped with BBQ sauce
• They claim their shakes are world famous and indeed the one I had was quite refreshing
• The grilled halloumi salad had plenty of halloumi (so salty) which was perhaps to overcompensate for the bland salad itself
• Chips that are outshone by McDonald&rsquo
• None of the above is reflected in the fairly pricey bill that we received
