Muang Thai (Camden Town)

• Muang Thai is a small restaurant on Chalk Farm road
• Muang Thai is not one of them
• It's surprisingly dead given the iTunes Festival is about 30 yards away maybe people know something we don't
• Five minced prawn and chicken dumplings with minimal gristle and an above average garlic soya sauce
• The sesame toasts were however far too spongy
• My jungle curry was watery and had me rabidly dunking jasmine rice in an attempt to make it vaguely substantial
• V's beef massaman was overly gloopy and tart
• We also got the 'steamed broccoli' as a side hoping this was a simplified description to be given steamed broccoli with a few sesame seeds sprinkled on top
• The restaurant was practically empty that the time there for one would have expected a warm welcome
• Now granted only one person was ordering food
• Given there were only a handful of other patrons in the restaurant at time we found this remarkable
• Given this was their attitude to paying customers it is no wonder why this restaurant is always hiring staff
• I have never written a review but this was so bad I have taken the time to do this
• At the time the restaurant was fairly busy
• The woman who runs the restaurant served us (as she doesn't allow any of her staff to interact or do anything with customers)
• I was slightly confused by her question when she was taking our order and I felt like she was rude and abrupt so I kindly asked her 'I know you're busy but please do not be rude'
• The whole restaurant witnessed this and were totally shocked by her inability to speak to her paying customers
• If I knew somewhere where I could report her poor behavior I would as this was the WORST experience ever
