The Paddyfield (Balham)

• The staff will always do their best to accommodate you or at least compensate you with free food for keeping you waiting outside
• On the first occasion we were kept waiting we received free starters
• Noodles and curry and the quality is consistent throughout
• Ordered from Paddyfield Balham last night and were very disappointed with food
• The food on the other hand was very disappointing
• Fresh spring rolls and two mains with egg fried rice
• Firstly the portion of egg fried rice was disgraceful
• I would say it was about 4 decent size spoonfuls
• Secondly the fresh spring roll was far from fresh
• Some of lettuce in there was to the point were it was brown and the whole thing was dry and clearly made at minimum the day before or with poor ingredients
• The Tom Yum was fine for flavour but the quantity of ingredients was poor
• As to the mains they were ok on the whole but very liquid and again the portions in terms of the ingredients was poor
• While arguably less authentic was much better and the portion size better also
• I ordered food from this joint last night and was thoroughly disappointed
• The spring rolls were far from being fresh
• Extremely irritated with the service and food
• Till now the best one around here
• The food was okay and the portion were also pretty generous
• Time last week with 3 other friends
• We arrived a little late but were publicly told off to not do so the next time by the manager
• We were then asked if we would like to choose from the selection instead of choosing from the menu which was a great idea as it eliminated the time taken for choosing
• So quickly that we couldn't even finish what we had and there was no room on the table
• The quality was only average
• The table was cleared without being asked and the bill was placed in front of us
• This restaurant is quite conveniently located and I must say it serves really delicious South East Asian food
• Cor is quite simple but it is the food that you go for which is an absolute delight
• My only disappointment is that they do not deliver to my area
• I must say that the food quality and pricing is really worth that trip
• This is the only time I am so happy with a restaurant that I felt obliged to write a review
• Quick to serve but the extra costs are a bit too much
• Two or more is rather ridiculous
• In my opinion it is best to go to Waitrose
• It had always been a decent place with affordable
• Recently when i visited The Paddyfield (Balham) was anything but atrocious
• The dinner I was served last night was amazing as usual
• I would especially commend the prawn with garlic and chilly sauce
• The food is excellent and is cooked to perfection with wonderful flavours to it
• The ambience is great with wonderful views
• The service is pretty efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly
• The interiors are pretty simplistic and basic and the service too is pretty friendly
• The portions are great and the taste pretty traditional
• The place is nice and the food is tasty but lacks consistency however
• The portions small for some of the more expensive dished while for some others the servings were huge and the prices cheap
• Cattle Grid is the new place that I am most likely to a regular at
• The environment was pretty relaxing and very soothing
• They go by the concept of Bring Your Own Booze which is like really cool
• The staff and their service is excellent and the pricing is very reasonable
• The ambiance was amazing and the decor was exquisite
• The food was excellent and was cooked to perfection
• The service was pretty quick and efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly
• The ambience was pretty good with comfortable seating
• We were presented with complimentary summer rolls which were delicious
• The drinks were superb and the food as well
• If you are planning to visit The Paddyfield (Balham) then the first thing that you need to make sure is that you carry cash with you
• The Vietnamese food that is offered is delicious
• On my first visit I was disappointed because I ordered a Thai curry which was not just too creamy but also bland
• One of the starters that I would recommend you to try is Fresh Prawn spring roll
• The main course is also a bit over priced which is something that the management should look into
• The Paddyfield (Balham) is such a disappointment that I would suggest that one would rather stay hungry than eat here
• The servers are not bothered about you and the ambiance just adds up to be a gloomy one
• The one thing that i really like about The Paddyfield (Balham) is that you can bring your own booze
• They serve authentic Thai food which is appealing and appetizing
• The only let down i felt is that they do not book a table in advance and in weekends The Paddyfield (Balham) gets really busy
• The Paddyfield (Balham) is quite hyped but personally i am not very impressed
• The restaurant is situated at a no high locale
• The portion sizes are really small for the price they charge
• It was served with a wedge of lime and a spicy dip
• As I worked through the dish which was piled up on the plate with more room to mix the different layers
• I should have started with what Mrs BYO had to eat
