Piccolo Bar (City of London)

• My partner and I are staying here for few weeks
• A place where you are welcomed by an amicable staff who are quite wacky and humorous
• We had tea that was well prepared and served at right temperature along with straight from the oven pain au raisin
• The ingredients used in my sandwich were of bad quality and the bread itself did not taste fresh
• The bread had neither the substance nor the texture and was layered with some cheap margarine and some overcooked bacon
• The beverages were equally disappointing and next time
• I visited Piccolo Bar (City of London) with my friend and I must say I was highly impressed
• Even though I was a little disheartened by the jacket potatoes
• Mostly because of the hurry they are all in as the enter
• The food here is very delightful and not very hard on the pocket
• The service is great and very prompt
• The portions of the food are also quite satisfying
• Every dish that we ordered was extremely delicious and very appetizing
• This is a traditional takeaway sandwich shop and Italian cafe with a good selection of sandwich fillings on offer
• The sandwiches are made to order and the cost is generally cheap
• The price list for sandwich fillings is not displayed at the counter so you can't be sure of the cost upfront
• I went for breakfast by myself and I will say that if you would feel uncomfortable sitting in a room that is exclusively full of working men (mainly building contractors)
• I was the only woman eating in but I guess it was fairly early and it was just the time
• Piccolo Bar is worth a visit for a cheap and cheerful bite to eat
