Sunday (Barnsbury)

• It is such a lovely place with great service and a great selection of food
• The restaurant is really nicely decorated
• In the summer it's especially nice to sit outside in their back garden which is quiet and has a big
• Beautiful tree in the center and is decorated with hanging toys
• They have a really good coffee and their pastries are really tasty
• I especially recommend trying the banana loaf which comes with a piece of butter and is covered in cinnamon
• Breakfast they have great poached egg dishes and also have these amazing pancakes which are made with blueberries and are covered in honeycomb butter and maple syrup

• The aptly named spot is the royalty of brunch places in the area
• I say battle through it as the comforting food that awaits is certainly worth it

• The french toast didn't come out how I was expecting exactly as there had been no mention of sweetcorn on the menu description but it was nonetheless delicious and surprisingly filling
• I didn't know what bacon jam was before but I am now a fan
• We struggled to finish our meals but it was just so good that we persevered in any case
• Now I respect that every other day has their own merits (like Saturday is pretty damn awesome) but there is just something special about the day of rest
• It's a scared day where I can selfishly do as I please because everyone else is probably doing the exact same
• So often what I choose to do is start my day at around 11 with my favourite meal
• The next decision is usually the harder one
• There is now no shortage of establishments who are willing and waiting to meet your brunching needs
• That it serves a fantastic drops of coffee and plates of food is almost a bonus though in this case
• I love huevos rancheros (a Mexican breakfast consisting of fried eggs served upon lightly fried corn tortillas topped with a tomato chili sauce though refried beans
• Slices of avocado are common accompaniments) and I came on the promise that I'd get the best here
• It was as delicious as it was hearty and worth the visit alone
• That is not even what Sunday is known for because that honour is reserved for the stacks of American pancakes served up every weekend
• Be mindful that you are not alone and arrive early to avoid a lengthily wait
• Hands down one of the best brunch places in the whole of London
• We had to wait 15 min outside but it was more than worth it
• I have to say the best thing is the Welsh rarebit it is the best comfort food I have ever eaten
• Get there at 9.45 ready for a 10am opening and wear a scarf if the weather is cold be prepared to wait
• My husband said quite possibly the best full english he has ever had
• I opted for the potato gnocchi with chestnut mushrooms and poached eggs
• The gnocchi was buttery and delicious
• The quality of everything was of the highest
• The portions are so generous we couldnt finish
• The coffee is served with a little doughnut
• Great coffee and the pancakes are incredible along with good service

• Came here for brunch on a Thursday morning and it was surprisingly full
• Sunday Barnsbury is a cozy cafe/restaurant on a peaceful
• Great extensive menu with something to please everyone
• We both ordered the French toast with banana and caramel sauce they generously
• One look at the menu and there's countless things I want to try that are more than standard breakfast fare
• The queues at the weekends are certainly a downside
• It seems wrong to penalise a place for being so good that everyone else is trying to go
• Their service was good but staff was quite flustered by the sheer amount of people waiting
• The pancake was light and fluffy and comes with the most amazing honeycomb butter
• S hands down the best all round brunch place in London and would easily hold its own against some of the best brunch spots in Australia (aka the home of brunch)
• Sunday (Barnsbury) is definitely worth queuing
• Going on the weekend may mean that you might have to wait for a longer time to be seated but it is SO worth it because of the ambiance inside

• The portion sizes were good as well
