Tai Tip Mein (Elephant & Castle)

• I think it is worth what you pay and if your in the area and think you can eat a whole cow
• Totally agree with the previous review from Mustafa
• Tai Tip Mein (Elephant & Castle) is dirt cheap and the food is definitely filling
• The portions are huge and food is ok
• The restaurant is tucked a way in a corner close to elephant and castle shopping center
• The restaurant is very neat and has got a Chinese feel to it
• They render good services and they are very polite
• The buffet is simply amazing and affordable
• A plate of noodles or curry is a safe play option one cannot go wrong with
• The portions are HUGE and food is flavorsome
• The service is disappointing and wines are tasteless
• Both of which are equally flavoursome
• A suggestion to the management is that it will be good if they can add some Singapore noodles to make the overall experience a bit more fulfilling
• Reasonable prices and was almost absolutely packed
• Couple of days back I visited Tai Tip Mein (Elephant & Castle) with my partner and to my surprise
• The standards of quality as well as cleanliness were unacceptable
• My partner started feeling sick and was diagnosed with food poisoning
• I just feel that it is a little overpriced as per the portions they offer
• The portions of the food were very generous in fact they were pretty large
• Staff was not much helping but it is sometimes okay because the price that you are paying is very cheap
• Earlier it was cheap and still a fun place to visit
• Most of the food was either overcooked
• The portions however are huge and great value for money

• The food isn't extraordinary by any means and this is more of an eat as you go sort of place

• The downside is that the food is rather greasy and quite bland
• Everything tastes much the same with tastes blending in
• The cheap pricing is not worth it
• The flavors were absolutely absent
• My favourite are the king prawn fried noodles
• The service from the crew isn't the best but this is a no frills place so I'm not surprised
• The buffet down stairs is also quite good if they fill up the trays frequently enough
• This branch is much better than the one in Woolwich
• I ordered sweet and sour chicken with fried noodles as well as fried prawns and chicken and sweetcorn soup
• The last one was a mistake but OH MY GOSH the other two were amazing
