Takari (Covent Garden)

• Takari is one of our favorite restaurants and our trip to London is never complete without a visit to Takari
• The flavora are unique and ones that you have not tasted before
• Unique dishes and the menu is more modern than the traditional Indian dishes
• The restaurant is easy to find and in a central location in Covent Garden
• Menu was extensive with many non veg and veg options
• The portion sizes were HUGE resulting in quite a lot of food leftover (they packed the remaining food for us)
• Even though we were going on a Monday
• So we went there with confidence
• To our shock she came back saying that they didn't know what that voucher was about and would not honour it
• He said that must have been his partner who was out of the country so he cannot honour and he was not aware of the commitment/ sponsorship which was done by his partner
• I would suggest check if the lead manager/ owner is in town before dinning here your tummy's health is your responsibility
• I guess that was a tell tale sign
• Their butter chicken and chicken do piyaza were disappointing
• The server was sweet and willing to change the dish but we dint go ahead with it
• When I called 1.5 hours after ordering they advised me they are not going to deliver my food because they are too busy
• I asked why they didn't call me and they said they are too busy to call me
• Normally start with their onion bhajis that are huge
• The mixed grill and a curry with a gosht and vegetable rice is a great meal for two
• Ginger and garlic fry accompaniment is spectacular
