Taste of China (Harrow)

• Their dishes are very tasty (they cater mainly for Indian taste buds)
• Taste of China is located in the heart of Harrow and their signature chicken in black bean sauce is one of the best in the area
• I am always welcomed with an endearing smile and seated within 10 minutes
• The service is also excellent with waiters who are extremely clued up about the menu and limited waiting time on food ordered
• Is a dish infused with chillies and spices to create quite a fiery meal
• Taste of China is well located
• Serving quality Chinese cuisine with excellent service
• Its popularity is evident from the limited parking directly outside but evening parking is free in the Debenhams car park just across the road
• Specially fried rice was just great
• Rest of it was just great
• As most average middle class people we are not expecting fine in a normal restaurant
• Definitely more than a dozen visit and tasted a variety of dishes that they provide on their menu with group of friends
• After a long absence in UK for 1 and 1/2 year I convinced my guest from Australia to give it a try as he was raving about some crispy duck he had in Northampton and was saying it's the best
• Remembering my past experience at Taste of China I told him that the crispy Duck there is as good as you can get for £
• 19.50 which is the average price in most restaurant for 1/2 Crispy duck
• Booked a table for 3 pax and ordered soft shell crab and 1/2 crispy duck with some drinks as a starter
• Told me that this is how it should be
• Beverage Manager in a Hotel with a Gastronomic Restaurant that I was in charge when I was a Manager
• I knew what I was talking about
• Reality is that we paying for a service and if it is not provided with an ok average level then it's not worth it
• The portion sizes were quite small
• Just a piece of paper with the total amount so we don't know what we were charged for service
• The chilli paste is seriously powerful
• The dim sums were well cooked and really delicious
• The noodles were a bit hard but still manageable
• The prices are not so high
• The service is very very slow
• I ordered takeout and everything was overly greasy and badly cooked
