Wildwood Kitchen (Covent Garden)

• Wildwood Kitchen is perfect for a fun
• You can imagine how jealous I was when it hit the table
• Once again my lunch date stole the show with her scrumptious dish&hellip
• The location of the restaurant is tough to beat
• I arrived really early that I was on of the first customers there but shortly after
• It had an interesting flavor even though I prefer regular risotto with other ingredients but the server said it was worth a try
• I had that and it was just incredible
• I dined here last weekend with my boyfriend whilst we were in Covent Garden
• We love visiting Covent Garden and so we are keen to try out various restaurants we come across
• Every team member was highly attentive and served us with a smile
• We decided to share bruschetta to start as it normally comes with two or three pieces
• We were a little disappointed when it arrived and it was just one large piece and we were very hungry
• Our mains Michael had steak with Bearnaise sauce and I ordered the Mushroom Risotto with white wine
• My risotto was gone before it hit the table
• We also decided to go out and have desserts as we were thoroughly enjoying our meal so far
• I knew from the first minute I laid eyes on the menu that the giant profiteroles were calling my name although I was disheartened to discover that they had in fact been removed from the menu
• Instead I ordered the hot chocolate brownie with ice cream and Michael ordered affumicato ice cream (vanilla ice cream with a shot of expresso)
• The portions were surprisingly small
• Especially if visiting with family as the restaurant offers a menu that would be favorable to a range of people
• The atmosphere was buzzing as people enjoyed their dinner dates and the decor was chic
• I'm inclined to think that I was unlucky when I visited this restaurant while most people say it's fab
• Both of our starters were unimpressive I ordered mozzarella and caramelised onion garlic bread that came with barely any mozzarella and caramelised onion on it
• The asparagus and ricotta ravioli was undercooked
• We started with green olives and house white wine
• The only issue with Wildwood Kitchen (Covent Garden) was that the waitress was really insisting and sometimes interrupted our conversation
• Main course was a spinach and mushroom pizza pizza was OK
