XOYO (Shoreditch)

• I've only been to this venue once and it was on an unfortunate night where the main event sucked (some experimental music showcase)
• The biggest let down of all is the fact that the sound systems in both rooms are completely shocking
• The second room upstairs is no better and didn't help by the fact that the DJs couldn't mix
• Or dare I say it Fabric who know how to run a system loud with it sounding nice
• The only good part about this club is that it's a haven for electronic music lovers
• They frequently book top djs and the residency concept on Saturday nights is a great idea
• First time I went I arrived around 11.30pm and the queue was huge and the bouncer said it would be around an hour so we went elsewhere
• Atmosphere is good inside however drinks are quite steep
• Smoking area is tiny which is a bit annoying but the stage/dj booth is great in the downstairs room
• 10 and drinks inside the venue are reasonably priced
• The age group that visits here is mainly 20 30 year olds and the atmosphere tends to be quite upbeat and lively
• I would definitely revisit the place as new and exciting acts are constantly making appearances at the venue
• My first opinions of this club were formed when I first came to London and everyone I spoke to said this was a great night out and that I should definitely visit there
• The atmosphere was buzzing and everyone was having a good night
• Me the space was too smile and not that greatly lit (obviously you don't want full on light but barely any in a club doesn't help)
