AK City (Oxford)

• From the front it does not look like much but there is a lovely mural of a temple on the outer wall
• This mural is inside as well in the form of a painting (and it is lovely a lot better looking as well)
• The main waiter was saying how he was renovating the place to make it better and it shows in part
• I think it was because of him that if the food was good
• It is lighter than Thai cuisine with a bit of the flavour of that said cuisine but with more of the assortment of traditional Chinese but more of the characteristic approach of Indonesian
• Like a lot of the familiar local takeaways or noodle bars the menu is set out with the sauce and/or what it is served with
• Then presenting the meats that can be served with it examples include crushed peanuts &
• Chili sauce (this is as good as it sounds) with a number of choices such as pork and green beans in coconut cream (not bad as well) with choices such as beef
• Also with it is the nigh questionable choice of some fish n chip items
• One of these includes the salted garlic chili chips which are absolutely worth trying
• Is wok fried and served with well cooked crispy fries
• Every order above a certain price gets freebies such as prawn chips these ones are not as good as usual
• The biggest must try (that I have tried) is their crispy aromatic duck
• What was said here is only a sample of what AK City has in store
• The prices are very reasonable and there is a good amount of vegetables in it which is rare at such prices
